Longtime New Jersey residents Tom and Lynne Cross have been committed to supporting nonprofit organizations that make an impact in the state they love. Generous donors for more than 40 years, Tom and Lynne are dedicated to furthering the mission of Children's Specialized Hospital.
“Lynne and I have been fortunate that our children and grandchildren have not needed the services provided by Children’s Specialized, but we know it’s a special place that provides meaningful care to children and families around the state, and that is something we value,” said Tom.
This past year, after reviewing their finances and considering the options available to them, Tom and Lynne started a charitable gift annuity with Children's Specialized Hospital. “It just made a lot of sense to us at this point in our life. It benefits us and CSH at the same time,” said Tom.
“After doing research, we realized that a charitable gift annuity is a great way we can help support the CSH mission and have a dependable income in our retirement years. The process was really very simple to get started—we provided a gift to Children’s Specialized and then began receiving fixed payments for life,” said Tom. With this type of gift, you can also qualify for a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction when you itemize.
